Website disclaimer
How to read the information, tools and services on this website.
Last updated:
General information, not medical advice
The content on this website — including condition pages, service descriptions, FAQs, the symptom checker and the chat assistant — is provided for general information only. It is not medical advice, does not constitute a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for an assessment by a suitably qualified clinician who has examined you. Reading this website does not create a clinician–patient relationship with Pain Clinics UK Holdings Ltd or any of its clinicians.
Emergencies
This website is not for emergencies. If you have chest pain or breathlessness, a sudden severe headache, loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness around the groin or buttocks, a hot swollen calf, or rapidly worsening weakness, call 999 or go to your nearest Emergency Department immediately. For urgent but non-life-threatening problems, call NHS 111.
Symptom checker
The symptom checker is an educational tool that suggests conditions commonly associated with the symptoms you select. It does not examine you, cannot rule conditions in or out, and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Its output is not a diagnosis and should not be used to decide whether to seek, delay or stop care. A clinician will assess you in person before any treatment is recommended.
Chat assistant
The chat assistant is an automated system that answers questions about the clinic (services, fees, opening hours, insurance). It is not a clinician, does not give medical advice, and may make mistakes. Do not share sensitive health information with it. Anything it says about treatment or suitability must be confirmed by a clinician at your appointment.
Treatment outcomes
Every person responds differently to treatment. Descriptions of treatments and expected benefits on this site are general and evidence-informed; they are not promises or guarantees of a particular outcome for you. Your clinician will discuss the likely benefits, risks and alternatives before you consent to any treatment.
Fees, packages and insurance
Fees, packages and durations shown on this site are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice; the price confirmed at booking applies. Whether a treatment is covered by your insurer or cash plan is decided by that insurer, not by us. Please contact us before booking if you intend to claim.
Third parties
Online booking is provided by Jane App, imaging by an independent partner, custom orthotics by a UK manufacturing laboratory, and any online GP consultation by an independent GP service. Those providers are responsible for their own services and terms. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.
Future features
New features may be added to this website from time to time (for example online services, patient accounts or further self-help tools). Unless stated otherwise, every such feature is covered by this disclaimer and is provided for general information only.
Regulation and liability
Our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and our chiropractor with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Nothing in this disclaimer limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent permitted by law, Pain Clinics UK Holdings Ltd accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on information on this website.
